A D'Angelo Family Legacy Since 1989
The D’Angelo family tradition began in North Royalton, Ohio, in April of 1989. Founded by the D’Angelo brothers (Paul, Sam Jr., and Jimmy), their parents (Sam Sr. and Josephine), and Paul’s wife (Donna), this first location marked the beginning of nearly four decades of dedicated family ownership and classic Italian cuisine.

That first location quickly became a beloved local destination, drawing guests from all over the city to taste cherished family history. The menu featured authentic recipes passed down to the brothers by their Grandma D’Angelo and their Uncle Jim, who owned a successful restaurant of the same name in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fuelled by this initial success, the family expanded their tradition over the next decade by opening two more flourishing Casa D’Angelo locations: Macedonia in 1994 and Mentor in 1997.
D'Angelo's Twinburg 2004
As the business evolved, the family said goodbye to their North Royalton location in 1996 and their Mentor location in 2008 to pave the way for an exciting new chapter. In 2004, they purchased a former Italian restaurant on Route 91 in Twinsburg with a vision to create something elevated yet deeply rooted in the Casa tradition. Thanks to Donna’s eye for design and the hands-on craftsmanship of Jim and longtime employee Terry Oleksiw, the space was completely transformed. In December 2004, D’Angelo’s Ristorante officially opened its doors, bringing a sophisticated new dining experience to the community.
A Family Affair
We continue to serve the classic dishes you love like our grandma's verdure pasta, signature house salad, and Chicken Palermo, while bringing fresh flavors to your table through our monthly features and specials. Decades later, our daily operations are just as family-driven. Paul and Donna welcome you at the front of the house, Paul Jr. leads the kitchen (who grew up right alongside the business) and keeps things running smoothly as kitchen manager. With Jimmy D managing our Macedonia location and Sam Jr in the kitchen, the D’Angelo legacy continues to treat every guest like family.
